How do you find 'secret/hidden' Windows registry entries?

    Hello!

I'm wondering how people discover that adding some kind of entry on Windows registry you can enable/disable features that doesn't exist by default. Well, they exist but are disabled and invisible by default.

For example: I was looking for some way to show seconds in taskbar clock. I did found you have to create a new REG_DWORD with name 'ShowSecondsInSystemClock' and value 1 under whatever the registry key is.

But how did they discover it? Where is that 'ShowSecondsInSystemClock' coming from?

I'm not sure if I explained well myself due to my poor English. Hopefully!
