Windows 10: How do you fix a laptop which once started up has a blue circular loading cursor on the...

Hello,There is an issue with my laptop and this happened yesterday afternoon, but I haven't been able to get it working. I am able to turn my laptop on properly, and the HP logo shows up, but after this it goes to a black screen and a blue circle on the screen shows up as if it is loading something. I have tried holding the power button down for 10 seconds a few times to try and hard reset the device, but this does not seem to resolve the problem.Does anybody have any solutions, please?Thank you, Rob

I have the blue loading circle next to my cursor.

The blue loading circle is next to the cursor only on screen 1 of my multiple displays. It is not present on Screen 2 or on the laptops display when I open it. I have tried numerous suggested fixes including changing the look of the cursor but nothing
changes it on screen 1.

Wrong mouse configuration settings may be the possible reason why you see a blue flashing cursor. To better assist you, kindly answer the following questions below:

• Have you made any recent changes prior to this issue?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far aside from restarting and perform a malware scan?
• Have you tried checking your mouse properties?

In the meantime, we recommend that you follow these steps to modify your Mouse Properties.

• Type Mouse & touchpad settings in the search bar beside Windows Start at the left side corner of your screen.
• Click Additional mouse options.
• Select the Pointers tab.
• Choose Normal Select and Click OK.

How do i change my loading cursor from the jar back to the blue spinning circle?

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change loading cursor.

• Right click on Start button and Click on
  Control panel.
• Control panel Window will be open, change the
  View by: Category to
  Large icons or
  Small icons.
• Select Mouse and click on
  Pointer tab.
• Select Busy and Click on
  Browse.
• Choose aero_busy from the list.
• Click Apply
  and OK
  to save.
