Windows 10: How I can eliminate all traces of onedrive.

While setting up Windows 11 Microsoft upoladed confidential files without my consent.I deleted onedrive.I cannot stop windows from creating onedrive folders every time I update software.I cannot prevent Office from showing onedrive as a saveas option.Onedrive is driving me crazy!Some may love it, to me it is unwanted exposure to the cloud.Microsoft 365 banned in German schools over privacy concerns, I have my own concerns.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

 

How I can eliminate all traces of onedrive.

I disabled OneDrive.

After disabling OneDrive I deleted the folder.

When updating non Microsoft software a OneDrive folder is created, and some of my data is placed on OneDrive for those having access to OneDrive to hack.

When creating and saving a new Microsoft Word document OneDrive is there waiting to grab it if by error I save it to OneDrive for those having access to OneDrive to hack.

Microsoft controls OneDrive, they have access to it.

It has been documented how unreliable is OneDrive.

I want every reference to OneDrive folder(s) be eliminated forever in my computer.

 

How I can eliminate all traces of onedrive.

I tried these before, tried again and nothing. Instead of a software update I uninstalled it, cleaned registry references, did a clean install and Windows created a Documents File along with onedrive folder.

Others suggest to unlink Windows 11 to Microsoft account but as I have no Phd. in Computer Sciences, after scary Microsoft warnings I am holding this option.

Onedrive is kind of Machiavellian.
