  1. How is my kid playing many more hours than are defined in his screen time limits!?

    Hi,

I defined 2.5 hours every day for my child's account as follows a week ago:

How is my kid playing many more hours than are defined in his screen time limits!? 1c0e6dd0-4950-4e99-92d4-44c8a9f8c65f?upload=true.jpg

I know for a fact he have been playing far more than 2.5 hours a day, and the activity report shows the following:

How is my kid playing many more hours than are defined in his screen time limits!? 04f08552-6a00-456f-acd1-8371bbc06e1a?upload=true.jpg

I don't know if the activity report is accurate if he actually played 12.5 hours on Mon for example, but as I said, he was definitely playing much more than the allocated 2.5 hours a day.

Also, he did not use the Xbox feature to request extra time he tried to request it once and I denied it via the email I got.

    How is this even possible?

    Regards,

    Tal.

P.S. I think the category for the question should have been Xbox, but there was no "family safety" subcategory, so sorry if the category is wrong.

    :)

  2. Limit access to certain websites for set number of hours

This question is related to restrictions set by parents for the kid.

My kid (11) plays a lot of Roblox but since he broke his phone screen (due to negligence), he has to use the PC to play the game. Due to half of the class and many kids from the neighborhood being on Roblox, he wants more and more time to play there. A logical discussion helped him understand that he is spending too much time there affecting other work. He agreed to the limit set to an hour daily.

Now I am looking for a software where I can set such one hour limit daily for roblox website. I would definitely prefer a freeware but if not, I would appreciate suggestions for reasonably priced programs that can do this job.

    Thanks in advance.

(P.S. - The machine is Windows 10 Home Premium, version 1809, with SSD and 8GB of RAM)

  3. Screen Time Limits Just Outside School Hours?

With the pandemic causing my kids to do school from home I've found I'd like a little more refinement in screen time limits. I'd essentially like there to be no limit during school hours and then to have normal limits after that. Since the amount of
screen time used for school each day is variable, I can't just add x hours to the normal leisure and creative time limit. Is there a way to set this up in the normal family group settings? Multiple blocks within the day that have different rules?

    screen time issue

Thanks for indicating this. I selected the first 12am from the top of the time list and the 2nd 12 am from the bottom of the list. I thought it is 24 hours. With this setting, my kids actually have couple hours screen time. The interesting thing is that
even I turned off the time limit, the kid's account was still blocked. I could find any way to unblock his account.
