Windows 10: How to activate Windows Education with digital license on a new device?

I have received a Windows Education license from my college a couple of years back.Recently, I sold my old, activated computer and deleted it from my Microsoft account thinking Windows would deactivate on it and I could transfer the license to my new device.Not only my new laptop did not activate automatically, but I also cannot select "I changed hardware on my device" and pick my old laptop to activate this - because I deleted it from my Microsoft account.I have two questions here:If Windows is still activated on the laptop that I sold, can that person reach any personal information about me?

This might become my longest sentence ever on these forums:

I am convinced, without tiniest factual piece of information, knowledge or source that Education really was exact copy of Enterprise until version 1511 therefore not following the same digital entitlement rules than so called consumer editions, and it still is and acts like Enterprise even in 1607, Windows 10 version 1607 presenting a new Windows edition Pro Education which from these two Education editions will be and is the "almost like Home or Pro" as @Barman58 mentioned, and the "full" Education will be and is like Enterprise regarding digital licenses..

Will I lose my Windows Home digital license after activating Windows Education with product key?

Hello,

through my university I am eligible and was able to obtain a product key for Windows 10 Education. I am currently using Windows 10 Home upgraded from Windows 7 with a digital license.

If I choose to activate the Education version of windows will I still be able to revert back to my original Home version with the account that is tied to it or will I permanently lose my digital license for Home after activating Education with a product
key?
