Windows 10: How to add a person who emailed from Windows 10 mail into People app?

Do I have to manually add each person that has emailed me in Windows 10 mail? I get emails from people using windows 10 mail and I can't seem to "right click" on the sender and click "add to contacts" or "add to people app" is there any way to do this?

I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

There are only workarounds for Groups in Windows 10 Mail, which as you've probably discovered is only a sync service for your Mail, folders and basic address book it loads into People app.

"One simple workaround is to create a new contact in People app that will represent a specific group. To do that follow these steps:

Press Windows Key + S and enter people. Select People from the list of results.

When People app starts click the + button to add a new contact.

In the Name section enter the name of your group. In the Personal email section enter all the emails that will be associated with that group. Be sure to separate all the emails by adding a semicolon after each one. Do not add space character after an email,
just use semicolon to separate emails.

After you’re done click the Save icon in the top right corner.

Now the new “group” will be added to your list of contacts.

Select the “group” from the left pane, and in the right pane click the Email Personal section.

How do you want to open this window will appear. Select Mail and check Always use this app. Click OK."

Mail - want to make a group List in windows 10

Windows 10 Hints & Tips—Creating an email Group in the Mail app

To send an email to a group of people using the Windows 10 Mail app:

• Start the People app
• Add a new contact called "My Group" (or whatever)
• In the Personal email box, list all the email addresses you want in the group separated by a comma (no spaces!!) - eg "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***,*** Email address is removed for privacy ***"
• Save

To send an email to that group:

• Start the People app, highlight My Group then click "Email Personal" in the right pane and choose "Mail", then OK.
  
• The Mail App will open and (if you only have one account) a new email will appear.
  If you have multiple accounts you need to select the account.

 

Left click on the sender then add to People app through the dialog
