    How to backup and clean install? Specific situation


    Difference between the 2 as in Core and Core SL? For one the keys they accept are different. Core will not accept a SL key and vice versa. There may be other differences but I'm not up to speed on what they are. It came to light when people tried to do clean installs and wondered why the OEM key wasn't being accepted. They just didn't know their key was a SL key and not a full Core key. My laptops key is a regular 8.0 Core key, that lets me use my MSDN ISO's with no issue.

    So I have just installed 8.1 Pro English with the German key. Planning to later upgrade to 10 Pro and then Edu. Thank you everyone for your help and support *Wink
