    How to bring up the option to choose microphone or earphones on Windows 10?


    I accidentally clicked dont show again on the audio popup that shows weather im using headset, michrophone, or earphones, and i cant get it to show again. I am not willing to do a factory reset on this pc, and i have tried finding realtek audio console which didnt work, and Ive looked in the control panel and coudnt find "realtek audio hd". please help me, it cant be that hard to re-enable a popup? and thank you for your help.

    How to bring up the option to choose microphone or earphones on Windows 10?

    I plugged in some earphones and it asked me "Is it a headset, microphone or earphones". I pressed headset on accident and clicked don't ask me again. How do I bring up the option to choose again?

    I am using an Acer E5-551G-T88P laptop with Windows 10.

    Now all the devices I plug in are treated as microphones, which means my headphones aren't working when I connect them because Windows detects them as microphone.

    How do I fix this?

    I am using an Acer E5-551G-T88P laptop with Windows 10.
