Windows 10: How to bypass system administrator password request

Windows will not start up and system administrator password is rejected. What can I do?

I got to the step 3 you suggested. But my computer system doesn't give me an option to enter the password.

it doesn't let me pass that step.

Thanks for the prompt reply, but I can't do anything. The area is grayed out on "Yes" and there isn't any place for me to type in my password.

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.

To install any new apps/software to the system we need an administrator privilege. If you are in a Local account and wants to install any applications/software you need an administrator password. However, we can change the account type from Local account to
Admin account.

I suggest you to change the account type to administrator account by following the steps below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X.
• Select Control Panel.
• Click on User accounts.
• Under make changes to your account, click on Manage another account.
• Select the account which you want to change.
• Now click on change the account type.
• Select Administrator and click on Change the Account Type to
  change the account type to administrator account.
• Now check if you are able to perform the above tasks.
