Windows 10: how to cancel an update that can't be installed

how do i cancel this update, this update makes my laptop like a fighter jet that wants to fight, and surely the installation always fails, uses all the cpu and makes noise, and why microsoft doesn't make a "cancel update" button, or is there an alternative way to get the update installed correctly?

For us to isolate the issue with the Windows Installer pop-up that can't be cancelled, we would like to know the following:

• Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g., updates, software installation)?
• When you say "It will not cancel", can you tell us what happens when you try canceling it?
• To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In he meantime, we suggest that you perform a clean boot. It will help us determine if there are any third-party
programs/apps that is causing the issue. It could be some other applications or programs.

Insurgency wont install and run for me....

I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

Any ideas?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
