    How to change app recommendation settings in Windows 11 on HP laptop


    I want to download LibreOffice onto my HP laptop with Windows 11 but Microsoft won't allow it unless I change my App Recommendation Settings. That option is not available on my laptop!! It's as if Microsoft won't allow me to use any other office suite

    WElcome : To get a workable solution. Report what's

    your windows OS : These settings are different

    for some operating systems. I will post

    a method to do this, mostly used

    in windows 10 and 11

    • Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
    • under Installing apps : Select one of the available options.
    • To stop seeing app recommendations, select either

      Allow apps from anywhere or Turn off app

      recommendations (options vary

      by Windows version).
