Windows 10: How to change size of Details Pane image preview

Good day,


I would like to know how to change the size of my Details pane imagine preview which will make viewing previews of visual files far easier than actually opening the file. I would like to implement this throughout our office so that everyone can browse our library with ease.


The solutions I found seemed to be outdated, and I don't know if a regedit from Windows 7 would work in Windows 10?

preview/details pane in explorer

Hi,

Setting the Preview pane to show or hide in File Explorer will apply to all folders. If you wish to hide the Preview pane in File Explorer, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Tap on View tab.
• Click Preview Pane to view/hide it.

Click on the "Organize" button and then click "Layout." There are 4 "panes" shown in the "Layout" menu:

• Details pane
• Preview Pane
• Navigation Pane
• Library Pane

You can select any or all of these. The information at the bottom of the window is the "Details Pane." Some of the entries in the Details Pane are editable (click on them). If you right-click on an empty spot in the Details Pane, you'll get an option
to select Small, Medium, or Large. This refers to the size (height) of the Details Pane. The larger it is, the more details will be included. In the image below, the Details Pane is "Medium."

Thank you so much for your reply.

What I really need to know is how get the video to play in the preview pane. Prior to Windows 10, this worked wonderfully and was an asset. Now, it requires making changes to the Windows registry - not recommended due to the enormous amount of issues with
Windows 10.

Any other suggestions?
