Windows 10: How to change size of icons in system tray / notification area?

Hi, I'd like to increase the size of icons in system tray / notification area of Windows 10.
Is it possible to do this, maybe changing some registry values? Thank you in advance.

• I haven’t made any changes apart from a Java update.
• Besides rebooting, I’ve tried a number of the “fixes” in the various forums. Eg 1) Trying to change the font size to 125% but my font size will only stay at 100%. 2) Going through the Settings options.
• The suggested changes via Start – that does not work and this is the basis for most people’s complaint. When you get to the Volume icon – it is greyed out but you cannot change it. However, I have an additional problem with the suggestion vis – there
  is no Notifications and Icons. Mine says Notifications and Actions. However, if I right-click the System tray, Settings, I get Taskbar at the bottom of the menu. There it shows Turn system icons on or off. The Volume is greyed out. Another option is, Select
  which icons appear on the taskbar. Volume is shown as blue / On. So in one place it is on while in another it is off.

 

Cannot open Action Center and notification off

Having upgraded to Windows 10 the Notifications Icon shows in the System Tray shows but on clicking fails to open the action centre. It has now started to show the message "New Notifications (off)". Is this an error or have I missed something to activate
the icon?

Hi EdTittel, thank your for your answer but this is not what I asked or what I'm looking for.
As I said, I want to change (specifically, increase) the size of the icons in the notification area (aka system tray), the size of icons in taskbar is already set as "large". I'll post an image:





I'd like to increase the size of those icons.

So sorry, I can't seem to find anything that does exactly what you want. That said, it may be interesting to look into Freedom Scientific's MAGic software, which provides persistent on-screen magnification capabilities: it's a replacement for the built-in magnifier with a great many more features. Here's a description of its latest version, but it costs $400 and thus may be laughably outside your budget.

For Windows 7, ObjectDock (from StarDock) has a nice feature that lets you create a dock consisting of icons from the system tray/notification area that you select. And you can magnify the sizes of those icons in the dock to be any size you want.

Unfortunately, ObjectDock is not supported on Windows 10, and when I tried it anyway, that feature no longer works.

 

Thank you for your suggestion, I'd prefer a different (and possibly cheaper) solution.

I also tried ObjectDock a few months ago and I had two major problems:

• It does not support Windows 10 and Windows 10 apps (as you said).
• It does not support notification badges.
