Windows 10: How to change the administrators user name in Windows 10?

I have done a factory reset on my computer and Windows 10 has provided a user name.


As I have over 200 links in onenote to files in Onedrive, I need the user name to be identical to that which was there prior to resetting.


I am the administrator, there is NO option to rename user.


How do i achieve this please?

Windows User name for administrator

If you wish to rename the Administrator account, you must first be logged on as the administrator to change the account name. Here are the steps on how to change the account username.

Method 1: Change Local user account name.

• Press Windows key + R > type netplwiz
  > OK.
• The User Accounts window will pop up, click User tab, then select the account that you'd like to change the name >
  Properties.
• On the General tab, enter the your desired user name >
  Apply > OK.
• Restart your computer.

Method 2: Change the user account if you're using a Microsoft account.

• Go to Settings.
• Select Accounts > Your Info.
• Click Manage my Microsoft account. This will take you to Microsoft account settings page.
• Select Edit name, then change the first and last name , and click
  Save.
• Restart your computer.

1. search control panel at the bottom of your screen and open it.

2. Click "User Accounts"

3. Repeat step 2

4. Click "change your account name"
