Windows 10: How to change the setting where I need to press the Enter key after entering my password?

It seems safer than automatically logging in when the pasword was typed. I have this before but after changing my pin, it automatically logs in upon entering the correct password.

You can reset your password following the next steps:

• Reboot your computer / Turn your computer on.
• Hold down the Shift key at the start of the boot process to enable the GNU GRUB boot menu (if it does not show)
• Press ESC at the GNU GRUB prompt.
• Press e for edit.
• Use the Arrow keys to highlight the line that begins with kernel and press the e key.
• Go to the very end of the line and add rw init=/bin/bash
• Press Enter and then press b to boot your system.
• Your system will boot up to a passwordless root shell.
• Type in passwd yourusername
• Set your new password.
• Restart your system.

 

How to log in using PIN without pressing ENTER?

There several reasons that may cause the issue. We suggest you check the setting on your computer by following these steps to help us in resolving the issue:

• From the Start menu, click Settings or the gear icon.
  
• Go to Account settings.
• Click the Sign-in options.
• Make sure that Password option is disabled or removed for you to use only the PIN without you hitting the Enter key.
