  1. How to completely avoid Preview Updates?

Windows update installed the following preview update while I set up everything I knew about to avoid these kinds of preview/beta updates.

How can I make sure something like this does not happen in the future?

    Update in question:

July 21, 2020 KB4562900 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903 and Windows Server 1903 RTM and Windows 10, version 1909

    My setup:

    Windows 1909 Pro

    GPEdit

Select when Feature Updates are received, ENABLED, Semi-Annual, defer for 365 days.

Select the target feature update version: 1909

    :)

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond How to completely avoid Preview Updates? :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
