How to configure Defender for Localhost

I am a software developer and spend a lot of time running software on my computer's localhost (installed with Xampp).

Unfortunately this localhost is horribly slow - even on a fast computer and I suspect MS Defender to be the main culprit (I use the default settings). So my question is how I can tell Defender that the software I am running on localhost is safe so that things become a bit faster.

    :)

  2. Access localhost from another computer

Localhost, as the name suggests, points at the localhost. Use the hostname or IP from your computer on their PC's. ie something in the 192.168.x.x or 10.0.0.x range most likely.

How to configure Defender for Localhost

    configure localhost for windows 10

    Hi ZAINAL

Please explain this in more detail, are you developing a website or web app and you need localhost configured?

If so, what stack, XAMPP, WAMP . . . etc. are you using for that development and what localhost error are you seeing?

If you are not developing for the web, please explain, the issue or error you are seeing with respect to localhost .. .
