Windows 10: How to connect FA-66 ?

Hello, I want to connect my Roland FA-66 sound card to my new MSI laptop under Windows 10 Pro. From hardware point of view the Edirol FA-66 is using FireWire 400 interface. On the laptop no FireWire, only USB-C / DP connector. So, first, I try to use Thunderbolt 3 to USB-C adapter recognized by Win10 then Thunderbolt 2 adapter to FireWire not recognized by Win10 and to connect to FA-66 a IEEE 1394 to FireWire Cable. I start FA-66 driver installation disabling Windows driver signature and at the end of install we need to physically connect the hardware FA-66 : Never recognized ! To bad ...

Secondly I try to use Display Port with Thunderbolt 2 to FireWire and cable to FA-66, same result at the end, no hardware recognized ... Roland Manufacturer does not support Windows 10, MSI say ask your Hardware manufacturer ... I'm lost !

This seems working on Apple Computer, not on Windows...

Any suggestions are welcome.

PS: I know good suggestion is "Put it in the trach" and buy a new one !

6610 Nav. not recognised as connected in Route 66

Hi. Just purchased my 6610. when i start up Route 66 from my programs, it tells me my phone is not connected. The phone is unlocked and connected via USB which my PC recognises as does the Nokia PC Suite. Any suggestions anyone????

Nokia E71 and Route 66 Mobile 8

Hi sasperello. This my first go at this forum so please forgive me if my edicate is not right.



I have recently upgraded to the E71 from the N6110 Navigator and absolutely loved Route 66 so much so that I bought updated maps with a year's license. This may be important to you, if you haven't got a current license?



I communicated directly with Route 66 who were very helpful BTW. I'll insert their advice, hopefully it will assist.



1. Go to
http://www.66.com/support/index.php?cid=AU&opt=updates_detail&p=2 download free update file to PC, and copy it memory card.



2. Insert memory card in Nokia E71, and install it into mobile.



... you can use Route66 Sync to synchronize license keys without connecting to GPRS.



Regarding downloading Australia 2009Q1 map, Safety Camera and Travel Guide, please follow steps below,



· Exit navigator on mobile (Nokia E71), connect to PC via USB cable, and select “Data transfer” mode.

· Run Route 66 Sync.



· As the license was transferred to this mobile, as soon as it is connected to Sync properly, Sync will suggest you to download it.





As I said earlier, if you don't have a license, this maybe the problem. Route66 can be contacted on email at *** Email address is removed for privacy *** .

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
