Very cool! Where did you find Manager from within 10? According to this article it had been removed a long time ago. It was actually a program predating File Explorer.

Lol I never knew that's what File Explorer used to be called back then. I never used that old-school version of Windows before. I started with 95... and I dunno what File Explorer used to be called in 95 hah =)

Within Macro Express, there's many options in there. When I added that macro piece, Macro Express can see all windows that are open, visible & hidden. This was one of the hidden ones, and it sounded pretty official, so I picked it =D

I have no clue why that happens to be in my Windows 10 operating system, but I'm sure hackers wouldn't use such an old school version of Windows to have open somewhere in the background.... but who knows!

Anyways, I hope this app sticks around open in the background 24/7 so my macro would work. If it decides to close itself, then I'm gonna have to pick some other hidden background app instead.

But thanks for all the help =D

If it does close, perhaps you can add it to the startup folder or configure it to stay open by other means.

Chime in SWI2. You would surely know.

Macro Express doesn't show where that executable file is, so I wouldn't know how to open that program. But no worries, there's MANY other OS programs running that I can use instead, if this one doesn't stay open 100% of the time.

    There's:
    • DDE Server Window
    • Default IME
    • StartHook Window
    • Task Host Window
    • Window Activate
    • Windows Shell Experience Host (which I believe is a very reliable one, assuming Ctrl+Z works on it)
    • ...and many more

Thanks HypsieGypsie! It was one of those small mental challenges, which uses the factor of Time as a main aspect for the equation, which was going to eventually solve itself out. I consider those as the "strange" solutions, because my conscious state of mind never thought of this idea. Apparently my subconscious state of mind just so happened to make the connection of doing the Window Activate function with one of the Hidden Background OS Apps. It was such a simple! I'm disappointed that my conscious state of mind didn't come across it!! Ugh!
My subconscious mind got "hacked" by some spirits that lead me to the right method! Yay! Tell 'em I said Thank You.

And I really appreciate that you enjoyed watching the way my brain eventually somehow reach a solution for all this! I like it when people can observe the way my mind works. =D

LOL! I think that's how all of our minds work. An elderly gent told me years ago in my youth that if we just think on a problem for awhile the answer just comes. I found it eventually does. And yes, I think it's spiritual in nature.

Happy computing to you, pepanee. *Smile

Haha that is so awesome. Tell the elder gent that he's absolutely right! He's got the wisdom and experience from all this. And yes, definitely spiritual =D
