how to create the DWORD NoSecurityTab in regedit

hardware : acer laptop with windows 10 home and seagate external SSD

context : im the sole user of the laptop i'm trying to run a game that i downloaded to my external drive, i get an access denied error, when i go to the properties of my SSD i cannot find the security tab, i have windows home so i cannot use the group policy editor

i found a fix online, i had to go through the registry to the following adress HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

i am suppose to find something called a DWORD with NoSecurityTab and change its value to 0 i cant find it, can i just create it ? is it safe ? how to do it ?

thank you in advance for your help !!!!!!!

    :)

  2. Regedit DWORD Name: da56a5e4-287c-4a5b-86da-140a12d814cd

This is a Dword value name (da56a5e4-287c-4a5b-86da-140a12d814cd) in Regedit for Session Manager/Memory management. The data value is set at 1. My main concern is that all of the other Dwords have names that are actual letters/words, not numbers as is
this one. Is it safe for me to delete it.

    Please advise.

  3. Install Service by Regedit

I created a .reg to install a service in the path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services, the installation was done normally, but when I go to services.msc the service is not listed, only shows when I restart the server, how to list the services installed by regedit without
    restarting the server?

    Exemplo do file.reg

how to create the DWORD NoSecurityTab in regedit

Where should I create the DWord?

    Hi John

You don't need to create that DWORD, further down that reply you are working from is a link (Disable_TLS_1.2.reg) to a reg file, download that reg file, then right click the downloaded file and choose 'Merge'

That will create the DWORD automatically, without you needing to to that manually . . .
