Windows 10: How to default lock screen to Picture instead of Spotlight

Hi, guys!



I hope everyone having a great holiday season.

However, I am back in business and I have a question. So I am trying to set up a default lock screen for my Win 10 Pro using GPO. I found a workaround here on how to do this by placing the startup script in the Group Policy. Now I am trying to figure out how to set users machines to default to picture instead of Windows spotlight and I am wondering how I can do this using GP. As of now, I guess I it can be manually changed and then lock it down wth group policy, but I have 150 computers and I can't touch each of them to change to picture.

Any suggestions? Thank you much!

Thanks for your help, unfortunately it didn't work either.

I followed all the steps but still a default picture is showing instead of the windows spotlight.

Hi,

There are multiple causes on why you're encountering this issue. To further troubleshoot the issue, we suggest that you disable and re-enable Spotlight. Simply follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the desktop and open Personalize.
• Open Lock Screen tab.
• Under Background, switch from Windows Spotlight to a Picture or the Slideshow.
• Click OK and close the Window.
• Now Log off and log in.
• Navigate to Lock screen and enable Windows Spotlight again.

Hello, my lockscreen shows a default picture when starting the pc instead of Windows Spotlight picture. After pressing win key + L , the lockscreen works properly showing the Windows Spotlight picture. But after restarting the pc, the lockscreen shows again
the default picture.

Any help? thanks
