Windows 10: How to define a functional static ip address?

Hello,At work, I wanted to connect to an Asus RT-N10 router. According to the manufacturer, the IP should have 192.168.1.1. Definitely none of us changed it However, it is set to have all connected devices have IP 192.168.100.X. it doesn't matter if the person is connected via wifi or via a switch that is connected to this router However, the IP address of the router gateway can be found eg from cmd. However, he tells me a completely different address 192.168.100.1, which shows some webis I don't know at all. 192.168.1.1 show nothing I found that this could be solved by setting a st

for point #2 if you are having difficulty binding static IP in the router, it is ok to set static IP in the camera instead - just make sure you take a note on which IP is which camera so that you wouldnt put the wrong IP in the port forwarding.

am not sure what you meant. you don't need ddns to access the camera locally (from inside your LAN) *Confused

I have purchased several Win 10 machines recently and need them to keep the same IP addresses. I used to know how to set static IP addresses in Win 7, but cannot find the functionality in Win 10. What are the steps?

Hi,

Follow the steps below and check if the features to apply static IP is available in your device.

• Navigate to settings.
• Search or navigate to “Wi-Fi”.
• Scroll all the way down and tap “static ip”.
• Turn on “Configure network settings manually”.
• Key in the IP address, subnet mask and other details

Note: Do remember that your router / DHCP should support allocating static IP for this feature to work.

If the above feature is not available then your model may not support the same.
