I'd like to now how to remove this banner from appearing in the top left of my screen, its annoying and irrelevant to me, making it an eyesore as it stays there obxiously for 7-10 seconds whenever I adjust my audio on almost anything that is playing sound.

I don't mind the actual volume bar as I do use that to see what volume I am on, however I'd like to know if there is a way to remove the banner to the right of the volume indicator that reads "chrome.exe". I've searched extensivley online and it seems to me that there isn't a easily avaliable solution?

    :)

    Print Banner

    Hi Terri,

Please help us with the below information to help you better.

    • What is the make and model of your printer?
    • Is the computer is connected to any domain network?
    • Is the printer is connected locally with the system or shared printer through network?
I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Open Devices and Printers.
    • Right-click the printer you want to manage, and then click Printer properties. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    • Disable banner sheet - in Printing Defaults (Advanced tab in printer properties).
    • Also uncheck "Enable advanced printing features".
Please get back to us with the above information to help you further.

Remove media controls from volume popup

There seems to be a new feature added in a update which presents media controls next to the volume popup (top left) when adjusting volume.

Where would I find the settings to remove the media part of the popup?

I'm listening on Spotify, and my default music/media player is VLC.

I want to keep the volume popup, but i'm not bothered if they have to be hidden together.

    ------------------------------

    EDIT (12 Dec '16): Found a solution

Turns out this is a new feature which Spotify introduced in an update, to disable the popup of media keys you must disable the setting in Spotify.

Spotify -> Edit -> Preferences -> Display -> "Show desktop overlay when using media keys"

I hope this solves the problem for anyone else who has ran into the same issue.

Windows 10 Volume popup - Disable?

I have the same problem and it has nothing to do with changing volume at all.

The popup I get is exactly as reported, but my popup overlay happens at random frequent intervals, generally when I am on-line (but not always) and never when I am trying to change the volume in the usual way. In fact the volume slider has shown changes
in volume which I have not made.

Worse still the overlay slider popups for a few seconds and covers the top left bookmark and other icons, which I need to use. The interval between popups also varies from a few seconds to several minutes and started with me a week or so ago, several months
after the first W10 download and a week or so after the large upgrade.

I have tried all audio settings, disabled and enabled audio and microphone settings and checked Realtek drivers. Nothing I have done has stopped the popups. I've tried top get a screen shot, but the slider does not appear (thank you to KBoojitsu for the
    image)

I do keep the volume permanently muted, otherwise I would get the notification beeps as well.

Please Microsoft give us some help or indication as to how this annoyance can be resolved.
