Windows 10: How to disable the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power network adapter...

Hello,

I want to disable the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save powernetwork adapter setting.

The usual approach is to go to Device Manager > Network Adapters > adapter_name_here > properties > Power Management Tab,
but the Power Management Tab is not present for me.

- I could have enabled CsEnabled in the registry, but update 2004 has deleted it, so no go.
- I could have checked in Advanced tab in the adapter for power managements, but there is none.
- Reinstalled the adapter, done. nothing changed.

So my last ditch effort was to tamper with the registry, and found this:

It does not work for windows 10, because PnPCapabilitiesentry does not exist, so i still can't.

QUESTION :
How do I disable the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save powernetwork adapter setting or atleast show the power management tab in the Device Manager so i can turn it off from there??

Win 10 network adapter disable allow the computer to turn off this device to save power

Hello,

I want to disable/uncheck the option of "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" on the network adapter settings,

on the network adapters>>Power Management tabs, uncheck the first option for the new WI-FI settings.

I trying to find out the solution to update the option with programmable, most of the answers of modify the registry key isn't working

on Win 10, like below:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\Driver Key,

modify the registry key "PnPCapabilities" value to 118/24/38... , all of this isn't working.

Does we could update/modify this settings to disable this option on Win 10/Win 8/Win 8.1?

 

Wifi network adapter requires reset very frequently

Install the latest driver for your device.

Another thing is check the "Power Management tab in the Network Adapter properties in Device Manager".

Follow these steps.

Press Windows key + X key, and select Device Manager.

Find and double-click Network adapters.

Right-click the device listed, and click on Properties.

Navigate to Power Management tab, and uncheck the option Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
