Windows 10: How to Disable the Charms Bar

    How to Disable the Charms Bar


    I had to factory reset my computer a few days ago, I seem to have to do it every two years or so, and now the "Charms Bar" is greatly hindering my movement! Every time I move my mouse around, there's a 75% chance that the bar will pop up and I will have to click away to close it. How is this helpful??? Does anybody know how to permanently disable it? Thank you in advance!!!

    how to get the charms bar like in windows 8.1 back in windows 10.

    You posted in the Windows Phone forum rather than the Windows 10 forums. I'll try to move your post to a more appropriate forum.

    The simple answer is no you cannot.

    Like all things change is often difficult. Like you I am used to the Charms bar and often find myself trying to get it. It will just take a little time to get used to the change but over all you will be happy with 10.

    Wasn't that a Windows 8 thing? Did your factory reset put you back in Win8? I've Upgraded Win7 Ultimate and Win8.1 Pro to Win10 Pro and didn't get or retain it.

    I am still using Windows 10. And I read that Windows 10 got rid of that garbage, but it's still there! Therein lies my problem. Well . . . I guess maybe it DID go back to Windows 8, but I highly doubt it. I'll check tomorrow! Thanks for the help, I'll let you know.
