  1. How To Disable Updates Fully

I would like to know how I can disable all updates associated with Windows on my computer.I am using Windows 10 and have been for years now, but Windows is bypassing all of my PC's settings to update without my authorization. All my updates are suppose to be manually downloaded and updated by me. I am also suppose to manually check for updates, but Windows is forcing those update downloads and deleting my own user data off of my PC to make room for the updates without permission. This is becoming really annoying because I am losing important stuff because Windows is trying to force download an

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond How To Disable Updates Fully :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

Best method to disable Vista/Vista 64 driver signing?

    Black Ice:

It's not a matter of "try". The bcdedit command is not fully consistent and reliable for some folks.

So far, to me, it seems the third choice always locks (disables) the driver signing. If that is the case for anyone who uses it, then that would suggest it is the more reliable and consistent method of the ones I've listed, anyway.

    Thanks for your feedback.
