Windows 10: how to disable windows update in windows 10

hi i am using windows 10 and want to disable te windows update as i am tired of it. this is irritating me since 3 weeks. the updates are 2.5Gb getting downloaded and installing however while installing and restarting however while restarting it shows undoing changes. i am just loosing my data everyday nothing is happening. i have checked in internet for disabling updates however that seems to be temperrory as the same gets restart when there is an updated. earlier in winodws 7 or XP it used to restart only when we want it too. please let me know a solutions to it. as this is eating my data everyday

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
