1. Open Microsoft’s Update Assistant webpage from here.
2. Click ‘Update now’.

4. Open Update Assistant and it will run a compatibility scan.
5. If it says everything is fine, click on next button to continue.
6. The download would begin.

You’ve to restart your PC after download completes and the tool will do the rest. It’s worth noting that your PC will restart a few times and it’ll be updated to May Update in approximately 30 minutes or more. All your files and settings will remain where they were.

How to install Windows 10 May 2019 Update with Media Creation Tool


Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool has also been updated with May 2019 Update content and you can use it to create a USB thumb drive loaded with Windows 10 installation media or directly upgrade your computer.



You can also use the Media Creation Tool to upgrade the PC without preparing USB drives.

Here’s how to install the May 2019 Update using the Media Creation Tool:

1. Visit Microsoft’s Media Creation page from here.
2. Under ‘Create Windows 10 installation media’, click ‘download tool now’.
3. Run Media Creation Tool version 1903.
4. Read and agree through the licensing agreement.
5. Select the option that says it’ll upgrade your current PC.
6. Make sure that ‘Keep personal files and apps option’ is selected. Otherwise, your files, apps, and settings will be erased.
7. Click ‘Install’ to download and install the update.

Now the Media Creation Tool will begin downloading the update to your PC. Once it’s downloaded, the tool will then begin the installation process. You can use the device when the Media Creation Tool is running in the background, but make sure you save your work as the PC would restart multiple times.

After that’s done, your device will be ready with the newest version of Windows 10 running.

Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

• Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
• Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
  • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
  • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
  • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
• The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

To stop the download, uninstall the KB3035583 update (under "Control Panel > Windows Update > Installed Updates").


To get rid of the C:\$Windows.~BT folder:

• Right-click on your C: drive.
• Select "Properties".
• Click on [ Disk Cleanup ]
• After the initial scan: If you have a [ Clean up system files ] button, click it and wait for the second scan to finish.
• Scroll down the list and look for "Temporary Windows installation files" (its size should be in the gigabytes range); check the box.
• Click on [ OK ] to start the clean-up.
