Windows 10: how to export a win 10 user to another machine

How to export a win 10 user to another machine? Do I have to create each user and then update file permissions? I'm moving my current WIN 10 64 bit system to a new machine with a new copy and license I assume - it's a Dell of win 10. I have a number of users and at least one group that I created on my current win 10 system. For what it is worth, I use my own files system eg C:\my files... rather than the private and public documents system. I currently use the win 7 backup and restore. I also have several additional programs. For the programs I assume I will need the original disks or license nums.

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.

 

Moving Hyper-V to Another Disk

1. Export the virtual machines to the drive where you want to move them (tutorial).
2. When all VMs have been exported, delete them in Hyper-V Manager.
3. When Hyper-V Manager is empty, not showing any VMs, import the previously exported VMs (tutorial). In Option One Step 6 of the tutorial, you need to select Register the virtual machine in-place, or if choosing Option Two in tutorial, select Step 2.
