How to fix Error 5: Access Denied when trying to run Diagnostic Policy Service and reconnect to WiFi.

Windows 10 Loss of Internet Connection due to "Diagnostics Policy Service not running"

Neither of these methods work for my computer with the same problem.

Attempts to start the Diagnostic Policy Service prompt a popup window that states: Error 5: Access Denied.

Any other suggestions?

Windows 10 Diagnostics Policy Service fails

Right now I'd just like to get my Windows 10 Diagnostics Policy Service to start.

When I attempt to start it Error 5: Access Denied is the response.

I've tried to changing the Login Account on the service and password.

I've tried the Windows Firewall Troubleshooter and the Windows Update Troubleshooter.

The only error I receive is during the Windows Update Troubleshooter and that is DIAGNOSTICS POLICY SERVICE FAILS and doesn't automatically fix or let me fix manually.

If I could get this service to start, my guess is that the Windows 10 Update will run properly.

As I've indicated before, it may have something to do with INHERITED SECURITY.

The Diagnostic Policy Service is not running

after updating my computer, my start menu apps and cortana is nor working. Add the error message "the diagnostic policy service is not running" is detected and can't find a way to fix it. I tried command prompt as admin to fix but nothing happens.
