Windows 10: How to fix File System Error (-805305975) when opening jpeg photos?

When I try to open jpeg photos I get "file system error (-805305975).

Ran the Windows Update and now I get File System Error 805305975

I made the mistake of running the Windows 10 April update and now I cannot view any of my photos. When I try to open one, I get a box saying File System Error 805305975. I am work dependent upon my photos and I am dead in the water without being able
to see them.

Rose, Thank you for your perseption. Finally I copied photos from extrrnal hard drive; formatted it; downloaded files from Google storage as necessary and copied 16,000 photos in one go to extrrnal drive. Thanks again.
