Windows 10: How to fix pc after shutting it off mid windows update?

I made the mistake of shutting down my pc mid windows update it’s already windows 11, and turned it on the next day. it showed that the update was at 7%, but I couldn’t do anything I could move my cursor but I couldn’t boot up safe mode or anything, it then blue screen of death and then turned back on showing “Updates are Underway”. That then turned into “Something didn’t go as planned.” And it blue screened not too long after that. Do I just have to wait this out until it finishes? It keeps blue screening so I don’t know what to do.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check, if it helps

Method 1: Hardware Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with power. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Power.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
  
• Run the Power troubleshooter

Method 2: I suggest you to update drivers and check if that helps. If that issue persist please uninstall and reinstall latest drivers available in manufacturer website. Both Display
driver and Audio drivers.

• Press “Windows + X” and select Device manger.
• Select Display Adapter and expand the driver icon.
• Right click on the driver icon and click on Update.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.

Check the date on the one you thought it was. Nov 4 2015 <-That's not June

Yeah, I've been noting it for months on the refusenik thread. They do NOT want anything older than 10 running.

I still have an HTPC on W7, and every other month I have to fix the update agent in order to get all updates. SMH....

You provided a good step by step fix. I've bookmarked it for future reference.
