Windows 10: How to get administrator or disconnect the domain on a school desktop?

Hi microsoft community. I want to get administrator permissions on a school desktop to do some stuff and after that disconnect the domain from the desktop, I do not want to do a clean install. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

If you're Windows PC is part of a domain, you can remove the PC from the domain by following the steps below:

• Open Settings, and click Accounts.
• Click on Access work or
  school, click on the connected AD
  domain you want to be removed from, and then click on Disconnect.
• Click Yes to confirm.
• Click Disconnect when asked if you want to disconnect from the organization.
  
• Click Restart now.
• After done, your PC shouldn't be a member of the domain.

Note: You must be signed in to an administrator account to leave a domain.

UnattendedJoin error: failed to find the domain data (0x6e)

Thanks for the suggestion! I don't want to add a domain account, as this is a generic unattended install that will be used for all company machines. Do you think it's possible that the computer would join the domain if, instead of using UnattendedJoin in specialize, I used your steps but left out the specific account? The other thing I was thinking was to use a generic account to allow the domain join during the specialize step. I added a machine password in the UnattendedJoin component, and instead of getting the error listed above, I got an authentication error, which makes me think I could probably do a secure join instead of the unsecure join. Thoughts?

If you are using a home computer, it’s almost certainly not part of a domain. If you are using a computer at work or school, or a device provided by them, then your computer might be a part of a domain. To help resolve your concern, we'd like to know the
