Windows 10: How to get American Cortana in the UK?

I can't believe there isn't at least a complex coding method to achieve this, I've scoured the internet for info but it's all dated back to 2015 so I assumed there'd be an update by now.

It seems unfair that a simple process of sharing a language pack with the UK from the US has taken this long and still not happened. I want Halo's Cortana, not a robot voice lmao.

Here is the reply that I posted this morning.


I followed all the steps by Neil MacLeod without success until I extended his procedure.


There is no need to change everything to USA and English (USA) initially.


4. Change all Location, Speech, Date and Time, Language and Keyboard Settings to English (UK)/United Kingdom

5. Restart Windows


Then go to Settings

Time and language

Click on English UK (If it is not there click on add a language and download)

Set this as default Language

Then select English US and remove it

Then select English UK and select options

Then Download additional downloads Speech etc.

Then go to Settings

Time and language

Speech

Select English UK

Reboot when complete

You should then be able to switch Cortana on together with "Hey Cortana" ON



I found that you'll be able to start Cortana as soon as you switch the Speech settings to the English (UK) however she only works properly once you restart, so it's really important to restart and it should only take a few settings.


Do the Cortana Training and microphone setup and reboot again!

Cortana works!!!!!!!

Get Cortana to work in English (UK) for Windows 10

I upgraded to Windows 10, and Cortana doesn’t seem to be available based on the Start Menu:

but when I click the link, it takes me to this page:





which suggests it should be available in the UK, since I've checked

• my language settings are English (UK),
  
• I have the English (UK) language pack installed, and
  
• the speech settings are also set to English (UK).
  

I think this is everything, right?  It certainly ticks the boxes in the Microsoft help article.

We appreciate your interest in Windows 10.

To make the Cortana work in UK, you should set the default language and speech settings to UK. You are not able to change the speech settings to English UK because you have not downloaded the speech packs for the English UK.
I suggest you to check the language and speech settings in Cortana by following below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Press Windows + I keys on the keyboard to open settings menu.
  
• 
  Click on Time and language and select
  region and language.
  
• 
  Under Language option, check which language is Set as default.
  
• 
  If you find different language, you can change it by clicking on Add a language option.

  Select your preferred language (English UK) and click on
