Windows 10: how to get DirectX .9 to work on windows 11

Discus and support how to get DirectX .9 to work on windows 11 in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I have been trying to play an old game and I need direct x .9 for it and I've tried every runtime installer and it still wont work...     I have been trying to play an old game and I need direct x .9 for it and I've tried every runtime installer and it still wont work

    DirectX 9 on Windows 11

    We have a desktop application we sell that requires DirectX 9 to function. If our customers upgrade their computers to Windows 11 are they going to have any issues with the software running/installing DirectX 9? Are there any ramifications or things we need to be aware of related to software that uses DirectX 9 running on Windows 11?

    As I've searched online and read through various forums etc. I am seeing a lot of conflicting information but I haven't been able to find anything definitive or documented, so any authoritative help on this subject would be great.

    Microsoft Store: DirectX 9 required

    We appreciate the update. Since the issue is still the same even if you have DirectX 9 or later, we suggest that you reinstall your graphic card drivers instead. Follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows Key + X and choose Device Manager.
    • Go to Display Adapters section and locate your graphic card driver.
    • Right click the driver and choose Uninstall.
    • Check Remove the driver software for this device and click
      OK      .
    • After you’ve uninstalled the driver, restart your computer.
    • When your computer restarts, go to your graphic card manufacturer’s website and download the latest drivers for your graphic card.
    • Install the downloaded drivers.

    Let us know how it goes.

    I would appreciate if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better.

    • Does this issue happens only with DirectX apps and games?
    • Have you installed all the latest drivers?
    If yes, then I suggest you to install all the updates and check if it work's.
