Windows 10: How to get my Desktop icons Back?

Recently, I have made a "Reset this PC keeping files" on my pc. After everything went well, my PC started up and OneDrive Automatically started syncing my Desktop with my OneDrive. Now, the problem is that the Desktop has 8GB of Data but my OneDrive is a free account so it allowed only 5Gb data. So my sync stopped. I unlinked my Desktop from OneDrive and let it sync only my Documents and Pictures. But as soon as I removed the Desktop from OneDrive, all my Desktop icons disappeared and nothing else shows other than the Files already synced completely. But I want to see all my icons again on my Desktop the files are still there in my C:\Users\%user%\Desktop\Where are my Files. this redirects me to the OneDrive Folder where all my files are saved locally. But these local files are not visible on my ACTUAL Desktop which is not comfortable for me. Please Help me to unlink my OneDrive from my Desktop and let me store all my Local Stuff the RAW Desktop i.e C:\users\%user%\Desktop

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.
