    How to get rid of administrator rights Pop-Up...


    Hi...
    How do I get rid of this popup on windows 10 Pro / 64 Bit...
    Ounce in a while I get a pop up when moving a file or folder asking for... administrator rights
    It's not that big a deal... But it's annoying as hell... When it shows up I Click on CONTINUE and the function is completed...
    I'm running three drives and one of them has two partitions so that brings it up to four mapped drives...
    I'm always moving stuff around,downloading, adding plug-ins to my software and so on...
    Below are the settings I have set to keep the prompt from popping up but as I said it shows up on occasion...
    UAC is turned "OFF"
    Windows Smart Screen is turned "OFF"
    Security Options ... Accounts: Administrator account status "Enabled"
    All the drives have full control "Enabled"

    Yes, but when we get Outlook email through a paid subscription to Office 365, than we should not be bothered with adds which is very annoying and we have no interest. We pay for not having adds, so what is wrong with that !

    This behaviour is by design for your protection in a user account. You could switch to your admin account to switch this stuff around.

    By design with an administrative account as well when protected system files and folders are involved. Probably a work around there with take ownership but I would strongly discourage that and your best bet is just to live with the inconvenience.

    How to get rid of administrator rights Pop-Up...

    I wouldn't advise taking ownership of system files and folders because the the possibility of too many bad things happening increases (like accidental deletion of important files/folders). If you want to take that risk there's all sorts of info out there that a Google search will provide.

    Thanks Cyberrufus... I'm OK with taking ownership of the folders... I build my own gaming pc's...
    I'm pretty careful when changing files from drive to drive or when I'm installing downloads and plugins...
    I might just take ownership of all the drives and be done with it...
