Windows 10: How to get rid of false virus alerts

Every so often, sometimes every 25 seconds, an alert dialog pops up warning about a virus on my computer. Sometimes, not always, McAfee appears to be the source. But McAfee is not installed. Or any other anti-virus software. outside of the standard Microsoft stuff I visited: Settings -> virus & threat protection, and under “Virus & threat protection settings” is the text: “No action needed.” Regardless, I opened “Manage settings” and everything in there was turned on.Side note: In the images posted, note that the captured image is larger th

My pc is blocked this morning with what I assume is a false virus alert

 

False "Device performance and health" alert.

Apparently nobody who has come across my query knows the answer yet. The false alerts keep cropping up on my computer monitor. To solve the problem temporarily, I run "HP Printer diagnostic utility", select the printer, click on "diagnose", then click on
"refresh" and "restart". When the computer reboots, the false alert is gone but it returns every third time that I restart my computer. The "HP Printer diagnostic utility" does not reveal any irregularity and does not perform any fixes. There must be some
routine that windows performs regularly and which is emitting the said false alerts. Can anybody suggest a fix to this problem, please?

How can I get rid of a virus alert from defender?

Defender detected a virus on a CD and since it obviously cannot remove, clean or quarantine it (because it's a CD), the alert is stuck in the UI and I always get a pop-up in the taskbar and the icon has a red mark. I did clear the protection history but that only cleared the past, resolved one. EDIT: I want to remove the alert, not allow the threat. EDIT 2: I'm NOT using the CD anymore, got rid of it. I don't need that file and it never even left the CD. I just want to remove the alert.
