Windows 10: how to get task bar to hide again after it appears

Hello,


I get the fact that if I move my cursor to the location of the task bar either bottom or side, depending on my setup, but when I move my cursor away from the task bar, it doesn't hide again. This is problematic when the task bar is at the bottom and I have a spreadsheet in full mode - I can't get to the tabs at the bottom because the task bar hides them. If I move the task bar to the right side, then I can't get to the 'x' to close a window. The only thing I have found to work is to toggle the windows icon, which brings up the full task bar and then hides it. Is there any other setting I can use?

a. Right click on the Task bar.

b. Click on Properties.

c. Put a check mark next to ‘Auto-hide’ the task bar.

d. Click on Apply and OK.

If the issue persists try the below steps to restart the Windows Explorer and check if that helps.

Step 1: Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys to open Task Manager

Step 2: Click on
More details.

Step 3: Under the Processes tab, right-click on Windows Explorer entry and then click Restart.

Task bar automatically hide on Windows 10.

Unable to hide task bar on windows 10

I have tried all the above suggestions and still cannot get the task bar to hide. There does not appear to be any notifications and all app notifications are turned off. All updates have been loaded. What next, this is frustrating!
