Windows 10: How to I attach a photo in Windows 10 Photo App to a Gmail message?

In creating an email with my Gmail acct, I can not access my Windows 10 Photo App photos to make an attachment.

Recipients receive duplicate images when I attach a single photo to Gmail when using Windows 10.

I am still getting duplicate photos whenever I use Windows 10 Mail client with my Gmail messages with attached photos. If I access Gmail by using Microsoft Windows 10 Edge browser, I do not generate duplicate photo attachments. Any suggestions on how
to fix this issue?

  How exactly are you trying to share photos from photos app? Please explain step by step.
  
• 
  As you mentioned, "I am given the option to email the photos with my Gmail account", but via which app are you getting this option? Is it via Windows 10 Mail App?

  If yes, then have you configured your Gmail account in Windows 10 Mail App?

I don't have a solution for you.
I just want to suggest an alternative............. restore Windows Photo Viewer which is part of Windows 7.

Personally I use Windows Photo Gallery. That's because I have Windows Essentials installed and I have been using it since Vista.
