    How to I fix the DCOM error that randomly freezes my computer up?


    I have a Lenovo desktop that from the day I brought it home has randomly frozen up. Every time I check the event viewer log, the last thing I see before it freezes up is a DCOM 10016 error. How do I fix this? Lenovo has said that it is a Microsoft issue and refuses to do anything about it.

    I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
    Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
    I had tried that as well... no result.

    DCOM error causes freezes.

    DCOM errors are not related to freezing. They are present on every computer.

    I think this it is a hardware error.

    Did you try reseating the components?
