Windows 10: How to I get some extended displays out of 640x480 resolution.

I have two of my four displays stuck in 640x480. The other two are working fine at 1920x1080. I have unplugged power from the monitors, monitor power from power strip, and the cables on both sides. The cable is an HDMI to DisplayPort on the two not working. The two that are working have HDMI to HDMI. All fours screens are the same HP VH240 models.

I have a AOC monitor e2352phz and display resolution is locked to 640x480

I have a AOC monitor e2352phz and display resolution is locked to 640x480 and in device manager the monitor is showing as Generic Non PnP monitor.

I have recently added AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics card and the issue was observed. Earlier I had Nvidia GTX 1050 and the issue was not there I was able to use monitor in 1920x1080resolution.

Need help or suggestions to the monitor to display 1920x1080 resolution.

 

640x480 resolution problem

This is Wil, one of the independent advisor, an expert with Windows 10 and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. I understand your concern about 640x480 resolution.

You would normally have a little window with a black box around it because basically that resolution can't be displayed fullscreen on the monitors that are in the market right now. May I ask why do you need to switch to 640x480 resolution.

Resolution of extended display

When I connect my pc to a full hd resolution (1920 x 1080) tv as extended display, the pc reccommends resolution of hd ready (1366 x 768) and not hd (1920 x 1080).

Also if I manually select the extended display resolution to 1920 x 1080, the texts become smaller and blurred.

This happens with a 32 inch tv I have purchased to use as extended display.

However when same pc is connected to my 50 inch hd tv, the picture is perfect.

For both tvs, I am using display port to hdmi connection.
