Windows 10: How to indefinitely stop auto updates?

Windows 7 was pretty easy and clear on how to stop auto updates (download/install)

but w10 doesnt seem to have that option?

i recently made a thread about issues with windows 10 version 2004 update seen here https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/i6aq0q/windows_10_update_version_2004_caused_volume_to/

i just did a rollback to previous version, and now everything is perfectly fine again. so i want to stop it from downloading/installing the v2004. but whenever i go to updates or check for updates, so that i can update other things (i.e. office suite, defender, etc) it automatically updates and installs w10 v2004 with it.

the only thing i can find is to stop updates for x days. but that completely eliminates updates, and only for a set amount of days, which are both issues of itself.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

The nine files that are updated all have to do with the Auto-Updater itself.
The article lists them all. No big deal.

I run auto-update anyway, so BRING ON THE NEW UPDATES !!!
I have yet to experience any problems from MS updates on my XP network.
