  1. How to index only .exe's on specific drive?

    Looking to index all my games on my secondary drive and some misc folders so I can just simply search for them however I can't seem to figure out how to change the "File Types" in the Index Settings only for the 2nd drive and specific folders without effecting the indexing for the rest of the system.

    Any ideas?

    :)

    Search Not Indexing Optical Drive

    Thanks,

    • When you mentioned D Drive, are you pertaining to a partition or a separate external drive? - D Drive = Solid State Drive; 1 of 2 internal drives (the other being an optical drive);
    • Were you able to check if indexing was already completed? - Indexing completed on each attempt of rectification;
    • In the meantime, we suggest that you run the Search and Indexing troubleshooter - Done prior to posting; useless! It does not find any problems.

    Windows 10 Index locations not all showing up in search

    Hello,

    There might be some settings missing or corrupted.

    I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

    Method 1:

    I suggest you to remove the D drive from the indexing and run the indexing troubleshooter.

    Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:

    • Press “Windows key + X” to click on “Control Panel”.

    • Click on “Troubleshooting” and click on “View all”.

    • Click on “Search and Indexing” to run the troubleshooter.

      Once this is done, restart the computer and check if this helps.

    Method 2:

    Re –build the indexing by adding the D drive and verify the result.

    Hope the information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance. We will be happy to help.

    Thank you.
