Windows 10: How to install Windows 10 using the ISO setup on the dive D instead of the drive C?

Any other things like bootable USB aren't working so using the ISO is the only way!I tried to use a bootable USB to install the Windows 10 on my SSD but in the setup after selecting the SSD it gives me a problemError and it's "Windows cannot be installed to this disk , This computer's hardware my not support booting to this disk, Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu", This message looks boring to deal with so I tried another way and it's using the ISO files.I had an SSD that have Windows 11 already installed in, So I used it and I went to google and I ins

App download keeps defaulting to D drive instead of C drive.

If I do your first suggestion so I no longer see the D drive will that let me download and install the Nox player on my computer and will it automatically go to my C drive instead of the D drive like it has been doing?

If I do your second suggestion again will I be able to download and install Nox player on my computer?

And finally, which is the best all-a-round option?

Win 10 Parallel Installation - Win 8.1 in C: Drive & Win 10 in D: Drive

You can do this but it is a little trickier. Here is my advice:

• If I understand correctly, you have 2 partitions at this moment: a drive C were your current windows resides and a drive D, probably with your files (this is also my setup)
• The first step will be to create a partition for Windows 10 (cut part of drive D). You can do this in disk manager. If you don't know how, please ask and I will give you the details
• Create a system image of your current Windows
• Upgrade your current Windows to Windows 10 (you cannot skip this part if you want the free upgrade)
• Restore your previous Windows to it's current location (partition)
• Do a clean install of Windows 10 in the partition you reserved in step 2

Windows 10 will see that you have another windows installation and add it to the boot manager. At this point you will be able to boot both Windows versions

That doesn't work very well, some software/drivers will NOT install to any drive but the C drive because the person who compiled them was an idiot *Smile
