Windows 10: How to install Windows Defender

    How to install Windows Defender


    Hello there, I need to install Windows Defender and the whole Security Center to my system once again.
    Is there a way to do it, without system reset?
    Before you ask, it isn't just the matter of being disabled, stopped service, registry error or group policy setting (checked and tried to repair those), also SFC or DISM check don't help.


    I know that normally it shouldn't be possible to uninstall such a thing (being part of the core system) however it seems that some malicious app or error managed to do it, I took care of any potential malware thru other AV, repaired parts of system using SFC and DISM, right know everything should be fine, only the Windows Defender seems to be missing.

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    • Is this issue specific to third party apps?
    I would suggest you to open Windows defender and add exclusions and check if it helps. Follow the steps to add exclusions in windows Defender.


    • Type Windows defender settings in the search bar and press enter

    • Under Exclusions click on Add Exclusion

    We suggest you to avoid installing any cleaner or anti-virus software that may interrupt the function of Windows Defender. Make sure that Windows Defender is always on. To do this follow these steps:

    • On the Start menu, type Windows Defender and hit enter.
    • Click Settings.
    • Turn Real-time protection on.
    We also recommend you to install the latest update for Windows Defender.
