Is there any instructions on how to move Windows 10 Pro digital license from old laptop to the new one?

I just bought a new laptop with Windows 10 Home Single Language preinstalled.

But my previous laptop has Windows 10 Pro which I got during free upgrade and I want to move it to the new one.

How to move digital license for windows 10 to new computer

I have a digital license that was purchased retail. It was purchased separately from the computer. It did not come with the computer. It was upgraded for free from windows 7. I now have a new computer. How can I move my digital license to the new computer?

 

Transfer digital license from old PC to New one.

You would have to first ensure the Digital License is linked to your Microsoft Account. See instructions how to do that. You can then use the Troubleshooter on the new computer after installing Windows 10 to restore the license.

Please note, if your license was upgraded from a OEM preinstalled Windows 7 or Windows 7 license, it is not transferable.
