Windows 10: How to Open the Apps After Resetting

I just reset my pcwindows 10 and I selected the option that keeps my personal files. When the reset was completed, not all programs and applications were uninstalled. In fact, most of my applications are still here and if I just create a shortcut to the programs, I can still use then normally. So how can I open my Forza Horizon 4, which is downloaded through the windows store? The game files are still there but there’s no way to launch it. And I cannot find it among all other apps in the application in the application menu in settings. Thanks in advance!

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Can I customize the list of suggest apps in the "Open with" menu?

You can't use it to add additional programs, only to set default programs.

Interestingly for me it shows nothing for text files:








Then if I want to add a portable app like Jarte Plus to open with context menu windows doesn't like it.





It's not present and is near impossible to add even via "look for an app on this PC"

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
Go figure!

Store Cache - Clear in Windows 8
