Windows 10: How to play the games they used to run on older versions of windows 7 or 8?

the directx and games run different on different version of windows .i want to play the games the way they used to run or render on windows 7 and 8 it was more smoother not just that the colour scheme and it used to look amazing idk exactly what to say maybe if u can bring something on windows 11 like gaming was more pleasant on windows 7 or 8 or 8.1 colours idk this directx must be optimal in terms of overall performance i know but it was beautiful the way things were i hope maybe microsoft comes up something like older versions the way games used to run or render or look and overall windows

As per the query, you would like to know, whether you will be able to play Windows 7 compatible games in Windows 10 and Can you play Windows 10 compatible games in any previous versions of Windows."



I would like to inform you that ideally the programs running on Windows 7 will work on Windows 10 also. You can install the game in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Refer the below steps to install in compatibility mode :

1. Right-click on the setup file and click on ‘properties’.



2. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 7/8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.

3. Once this is done, restart the computer and check.



If it doesn't work then you need to contact the game developers for further information about the compatibility.

Also, the game developers are developing new patches for the newer Operating system not Microsoft. So contacting them would be better.
