Windows 10: How to put HD to sleep?

Hi, I bought by accident a NAS HD for my desktop internal and it will not go idle sleeping no matter the settings in Windows. Is there a trick to make that happen?


option 1: Preferably like after f.e. 15 minutes it goes to sleep and when it is asked for through windows explorer it will wake up again. So it would behave like my normal internal hard drives.


option 2: Alternatively the process goes manually: disconnect and later reconnect.

i ve tried everything:with atiflash from dos,winflash.step by step with bios powercolor hd 6970 from the database.
nothing,doesn´t work.any suggestion????

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Click on Start>Settings>System.
• In the left navigation pane, click on Power & sleep.
• In the right pane, select the time limit for the system to go to sleep from the drop down list.
